Fairfield Block Renovation

The Fairfield Block heritage building across the street from Victoria’s City Hall has a highly recognizable feature on its corner -one commercial unit with the landmark “Sally’s” neon sign from a long-departed retailer.

The project rehabilitated this retail space for tenancy by removing the existing interiors; restoring the striking south-side heritage windows to reconnect the space with Cormorant Street and flood the space with natural light; exterior alterations to masonry, waterproofing and openings; remodeling the front entrance glazing to improve safety and visibility; and restoring the neon sign to full iconic function.
